Stacy McCardell is a native New Yorker who now calls Dallas, Texas home. As long as she can remember, she has always had a heart and passion for young children. An early childhood educator by profession, Stacy has worked in curriculum design and classroom instruction for Head Start, private preschool and in Sunday school settings off-and-on for 28 years.
Before anything else, Stacy’s greatest passion and joy comes from her family. She is a devoted wife to her college sweetheart (a pastor and education administrator) and mother to 4 children, ages 25 to 13. When one of their daughters was diagnosed with a rare medical condition at the age of 14 (9 years ago), Stacy was suddenly tasked with learning more than she ever wanted to know about medical treatments, the healthcare system and the ins and outs of 504 plans/academic accommodations and disability resources at the secondary and collegiate level.
Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with specializations in Education and Child Development from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, and has also completed some graduate work in Christian Counseling. In 2019, she became certified as a Grief Recovery Specialist.
