Virtual Listenting on Traffic Safety
I’m reaching out to share information about an upcoming paid opportunity for people with access and functional needs, including people with disabilities, to share their experiences and needs for getting around Tacoma. I work with Gail Himes, ADA Coordinator at the City of Tacoma, and she suggested I reach out to you for assistance to see if you could help to distribute the opportunity.
The City of Tacoma is hosting two virtual listening sessions where Tacoma staff involved in transportation decision-making will listen, learn, and answer questions. Tacoma staff include a traffic engineer, a transportation planner, a Transportation Commissioner, and potentially an elected official. The listening sessions will help inform the City’s Vision Zero Action Plan and future infrastructure projects. You can read more about Vision Zero and the Action Plan here: http://www.cityoftacoma.org/visionzero
